My research interests focus on the study of the molecular and neurophysiological mechanisms of primary headache and facial pain disorders in a translational approach across experimental and clinical settings.
To date, I have authored numerous papers on headache disorders including several book chapters and treatment guidelines.
I am an associate editor for the Journal of Headache and Pain. I am Co-Deputy Lead of the Pain and Addictions Theme at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
